Blog #03: Goodbye January, Hello February

The year really doesn't start until February.

Hello and welcome back, the last blogpost I made was roughly 2 weeks ago. I was pretty gung-ho about what I had planned for the month and committed to two articles.

My first Games Beaten in 2025 was Ape Escape 2, I talked at some length about the Ape Escape series up to that point and outlined parallels with Sony's offerings and Nintendo's Mario series running in parallel.

Secondly, I updated the Album of the Month for January, featuring Delivery's Force Majeure. A shorter form review, I'm getting used to the format and how to capitalise upon it. The honourable mentions are broad, a lot of records suddenly dropped just this week.

I am uncertain of what I have planned for February, a close friend's father passed after some difficulty over the last year and work returns in earnest alongside some recording work for Yeevs and a show on the 27th of February at The Midnight Special in Newtown. It seems like a fair bit already.

The least I can do is import another article, continue with an Album of the Month and talk about another Game I've Beaten in 2025. Currently, it's looking like Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is the next I'll finish, I've been making gradual grounds on Chrono Trigger and I started up a file on Chibi-Robo! just yestderday. I really enjoy retro gaming and are looking towards 20th or 30th game anniversaries.
