Naarm/Melbourne five-piece Delivery pull apart garage, new wave and post punk into a tight ockerism sling. Digging the Hole setting the record straight, why not break into a dancable punk funk dominated by woodblock segued into a guitar solo? The New Alphabet, proving that Dolewave never truly died - it's just been sitting in dormant. There's a tight arrangement and song-writing exercised here, really hope to see their tour in April.

Honourable Mentions It's been a quiet start to the year, followed by a sudden onslaught of new released closing the month out. Honourable mentions range from Ringo Starr's (re) visitation to country in Look Up, tender ambiance meets folk tenancies on The Weather Station's Humanhood, the gothic in The Veils' Asphodels, electropop with an unlikely North West collab in FKA Twigs - Eusexua, and lastly I've heard it's shoegaze but it's clearly post rock The Bad Fire by Mogwai.
